Reuters and me

Reuters is a global information company providing indispensable information tailored for professionals in the financial services, media and corporate markets. The information is trusted and drives decision making across the globe. the company has a reputation for speed, accuracy and freedom from bias.
Although Reuters is best known as the world's largest international multimedia news agency, more than 90% of its revenue derives from the financial services business. Some 330,000 financial market professionals working in the equities, fixed income, foreign exchange, money, commodities and energy markets around the world use Reuters products. They rely on Reuters services to provide them with the information and tools they need to help them be more productive.

I am proud to be a part of such an organization. I am working as a Market Analyst in Equities TCX Team. Work is quite interesting and I am enjoying my job. So far so good!!

About my career

I started my career in DSL software Ltd( now HCL IBT&O). I was a process associate doing Nostro reconciliations. The exposure I got was superb in everyway personally and professionally.
I was into different processes over a period of one year-Nostro, Wash and Brokerage Reconciliations. I learmed to use a software application called SSR- Smart Stream Reconciliations- a premium product of Oracle.

Overall it was a good experience to work there.

On completion of one year I looked for a career change and shifted to Reuters.
